Antique Edwardian 1910 gold pendant featuring a white opal claw set into a  9ct gold setting decorated with five leaves. This opal gemstone has iridescent speckles of greens, pinks and blues. In the Victorian era Opal symbolised fidelity and assurance.

Opal is the birthstone for October and the stone is also given on the 14th wedding anniversary.

The pendant measures 3.3cm / 1.3" in height and 1.4cm / 0.5" in width. The necklace hangs from a new 9ct gold chain measuring 18".
